Prof. Anshul Sama

Consultant Rhinologist, Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust

Anshul Sama is a renowned Rhinologist (specialist in nasal conditions) and an expert in functional and cosmetic nasal surgery. He has been practicing since 1988, having qualified from University of Nottingham and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1993.

Anshul has dedicated his life to mastering the conditions of the nose. Since 1999, has practiced solely and entirely in the field of nasal conditions and rhinoplasty. He has undertaken thousands of nasal procedures and specialises in both functional and cosmetic aspects of the nose. As an accomplished surgeon, he has lectured on this subject widely and run premier teaching courses in this field. He has served as the Treasurer of the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery and British Rhinology society. He is also a member of the British Rhinoplasty society, British Facial Plastic society and European Facial Plastic society.

Dr. Munib Mallik

B MedSci, MB ChB, FRCA

Dr Mallik is a consultant anaesthetist at Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust and the Lead Anaesthetist for Thoracic Surgery. He is a graduate of University of Edinburgh, trained in the East Midlands and took up his consultant Anaesthetist post at Nottingham in 2006. He has wide experience in anaesthetising for complex chest surgery and Intensive care management, and has also specialist interests in ENT, Bariatrics, Upper GI, Gynaecology and Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Lakshmipathy Purushothaman

MBBS, MD Anaesthesia, FRCA, EDRA

Dr.Lakshmipathy Purushothaman (Fondly known as Dr Lakshmi) is a consultant anaesthetist at Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust. He is the anaesthetic lead for major trauma and trauma orthopaedics in NUH NHS Trust- the Regional Trauma centre. He has over 20 years’ experience in anaesthesia with a specialist interest is trauma orthopaedics, day case anaesthesia, ENT, Hepatobiliary, gynaecology and regional anaesthesia.

Dr.Lakshmi graduated in 2001 from Stanley Medical Collage and completed his MD anaesthesia from Madras Medical Collage in 2005 in India. He subsequently trained at James Cook University Hospital, University Hospital Birmingham and Nottingham University Hospital, culminating in a Fellowship in Regional Anaesthesia at Queens Medical Centre and European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia (EDRA) in 2012. He has innovated several new regional anaesthesia techniques and regularly organizes and teaches on major trauma and ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia courses. He takes pride in “safety first” approach and considers patients comfort post-surgery as major priority.

Mrs Karen Pacey-Lowrie

Secretary and Personal Assistant

Karen has many years’ experience of working as a secretary within the NHS at Nottingham University Hospital NHS trust. More recently, Karen worked as a Practice Manager for a Private Ocularist company (Ocular Prosthetics) for 10 years. She likes interacting with people and has a warm, friendly and understanding approach.
